By sending Shahnawaz, who has been exiled from the House for nearly seven years, to the Legislative Council, the BJP has also respected his patience and steadfastness. Many Muslim leaders joined the Bihar BJP during this period. The posts are separated or remain inactive if not found.
Shahnawaz will be cut by Owaisi
In the 2020 assembly elections, AIMIM supremo Asaduddin Owaisi messed up the Muslim vote. It is Shahnawaz, whose victory in the Lok Sabha broke the myth that Muslims do not vote for the BJP. In 1999, Shahnawaz Hussain won from Kishanganj as a BJP candidate. The account of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) was not opened by the Kishanganj Lok Sabha after his defeat in the 2004 Lok Sabha elections. However, Shahnawaz was a two-time MP from Bhagalpur. There is a perception that in Seemanchal, Shahnawaz will reduce the displeasure of Muslims towards BJP or NDA. Apart from BJP, it will also be beneficial for its ally Janata Dal-United. He himself belongs to Supaul, which is an area connected to Seemanchal.
Fine and sweet, but harsh image
This is the first time that there is no Muslim face in Nitish Kumar’s cabinet. The JDU had fielded 11 candidates from the Muslim community, but none won. The JDU was considering bringing any of its Muslim members of the Legislative Council into the cabinet. He had the option of inducing the only MLA of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) into the JDU. Meanwhile, Shahnawaz’s entry was done. It is believed that by joining the cabinet, he will compensate for the lack of a Muslim face. If this happens then BJP will get a double benefit. The specific community’s pungency may be reduced to some extent.
Fine and sweet, but harsh image
.Shahnawaz is very fine in colloquialism. Do not speak loudly. They also avoid speaking bitterly. But it is not their nature to bow under pressure. Common ministers of BJP have been accused of being submissive. Only BJP workers say that more of their ministers hardly open their mouths to the Chief Minister. Shahnawaz will fill this gap. He has experience of being in the Council of Ministers of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. If he joins the state cabinet, then after the chief minister, there will be other members who have the opportunity to work in the government of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. This image of him is comforting to the BJP workers, who feel that despite being a big party, they are treated second class in governance.
PM Narendra Modi also agreed
Until now it was believed that due to the displeasure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Shahnawaz was facing exile. The reason given was that Shahnawaz Hussain was also among the few NDA leaders who criticized the Godhra incident. Modi’s displeasure was tried to substantiate the argument that after 2014, many of Shahnawaz’s junior high rank in BJP states. Shahnawaz could not rise above the spokesperson. Now that there is talk of sending him to the House and making him a minister, it is assumed that Modi is not angry with him.
